Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on December 2 1968) is an American actress who is known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap drama General Hospital. From 2013 until 2022, she played the role of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) in California. She is the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), who is a psychologist as well as Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was located in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was Rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. Sofer graduated from North Bergen High School and then attended Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's debut role in General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of a band. However, her first high-profile part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91).
